Rev. Arthur T. Jones had a vision and a mission “to make a local imprint and a global impact”.  We are elated to share since his transition, his impact  on the community is evident by the lives he has change. The naming and dedicating the first structure built, now known as, the Arthur T Jone Family Life Center will stand in .

In August 2018, family, friends and members of Bible Based fellowship Church gathered before worship service to honor Pastor Jones with the naming of the Arthur T. Jones Family Life Center. Tim Jones

Arthur T Jones was  a published author of 4 books, leader of the world renown Florida Mass Choir,  father of 4 and husband of Doris Jones for 44 years. He was born and raised in Tampa. attended Middleton High School and had a successful work career  with  IBM.  He was promoted and relocated several times through out the country.  He began the church in 1989 with pastor Earl B. Mason in a hotel and then moved into a plaza on N. Dale Mabry in Tampa.  He subsequently retired from IBM in 1992. As the church grew, he purchased a building on ten acres. The  church grew to 2,000 members and 4 buildings on the campus at Ehrlich Rd.  After a bout with cancer, Pastor Jones left his church under the capable hands of his son, Timothy Jones, and under the spiritual leadership of Anthony C. White.

The building dedication is special in that it was the first structure built to represent his legacy.  It housed a gymnasium, a school, the children’s church and administrative offices.  The children that attended the school are now members of the ever growing church.

Arthur T. Jones not only left his name on his campus but also  with the Moffit Cancer Hospital in the form of an endowment. The half million dollar endowment is the largest of any African American family.

Pastor Jones often said “if you save a soul you save a multitude of sins”
