National Black Business Month

   National Black Business Month kicked off August 1st with  the collaboration of Sherryl Cusseaux of DSI Black Pages and DJ CEO of N-TOUCH News to promote Black businesses. They can be heard every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the month of August on N-TOUCH News Radio at 12:30 pm. 

  This year marks the 15th National Black Business Month Anniversary of the crusade launched by Frederick E. Jordan and John William Templeton in California 2004. Both Jordan and Templeton’s goal is to draw attention to the needs of Black entrepreneurs and for 31 days of August by challenging local officials, community leaders, venture capitalist to focus efforts on creating a more hospitable environment in which black-owned business can grow. Currently, there are over 20 states from Maryland, Michigan and our state of Florida that have established programs recognizing Black Business Month and over 300 libraries across the country recognize Black Business Month.

  Radio Icon Dayle Greene, and Pastor Gregory Gay of Mt. Zion AME stopped by the station to promote the Power of the Vote.  Pastor Gay infasized updating your information, if you recently moved to ensure you don’t encounter problems on voting day. Dayle Greene will interview Arthenia Joyner to talk about the Amendments on the ballot.  Tune in to N-TOUCH Radio to stay abreast of the issues in our community.
